Tessa grew up in a beach town south of Sydney where her childhood was basically a tourism commercial — surfing before school, barbecues every weekend, bare feet until 14. She moved to Amsterdam for an internship at 21 and just never left. She still swims in the canals when it's warm enough, which the Dutch think is insane.
