Zuri grew up between Nairobi and London — her mother a Kenyan diplomat, her father a British jazz musician. She speaks four languages and switches between them mid-sentence without apology. Fashion was never the plan — she wanted to be a marine biologist and still volunteers at ocean conservation projects between shoots. She has a small tattoo of a whale shark behind her left ear that no one notices until they're close enough to matter.
